FFL TRANSFERS FROM ONLINE RETAILERS

-TERMS OF SERVICE REGARDING FFL TRANSFERS WITH KINETIC FIREARMS LLC-

Having a firearm shipped to Kinetic Firearms LLC is considered acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms. If you have questions regarding the terms,  please contact Kinetic Firearms LLC prior to choosing to have Kinetic Firearms LLC receive a firearm for a local FFL transfer.

Finding the perfect firearm from a local dealer in today's market is not always easy. Kinetic Firearms accepts transfers from online and out-of-state retailers. Of course, we would prefer to sell you the firearm directly, but if you find the exact firearm you want online or from an out-of-state retailer, Kinetic Firearms LLC will receive the firearm for you and facilitate the required FBI background check.

Kinetic Firearms LLC charges $25.00 PER TITLE 1 FIREARM for this service.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR BUYERS TO UNDERSTAND, DUE TO FEDERAL LAWS, THE PERSON THAT ORDERED THE FIREARM IS THE ONLY PERSON THAT IT CAN BE TRANSFERRED TO. THAT PERSON NEEDS TO HAVE A VALID GOVERNMENT-ISSUED PHOTO ID WITH A CURRENT ADDRESS ON IT. THE CUSTOMER MUST ALSO BE OF LEGAL AGE PER FEDERAL LAWS TO RECEIVE THE FIREARM THEY PURCHASED.

YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD TO PURCHASE LONG GUNS AND 21 YEARS OLD TO PURCHASE FIREARMS OTHER THAN LONG GUNS AS WELL AS RECEIVERS/FRAMES.

NO EXCEPTIONS.

Kinetic Firearms only accepts FFL transfers for Indiana residents. Your primary residence must be in Indiana, and your government-issued photo ID must reflect that.

The upside to buying firearms online is there are some deals to be found. Kinetic Firearms is set up with a large number of online retailers to receive transfers from them. Each retailer has a different process to choose which local FFL receives the firearm in their checkout process. If you are purchasing from an online retailer that Kinetic Firearms isn’t listed as an option, most retailers have instructions on how to request a local FFL that is not listed, or they provide an email address for the local FFL to send a copy of their license to. Due to the diversity of the countless online retailer websites, we are unable to provide specific instructions for every online retailer.

If at all possible, please contact us prior to selecting Kinetic Firearms to receive your shipment. Once the firearm is received, we will contact you to set up an appointment for you to complete the paperwork required. We do our best to contact you as quickly as possible, but it may take 24 to 48 hours after the shipment is received.

The downside of purchasing a firearm through e-commerce is that the firearm is not an item being sold by Kinetic Firearms, so there is a transfer fee. Kinetic Firearms charges $25.00 per Title 1 firearm for transfers. Also, if there is an issue with the item, the transfer fee is still required to be paid regardless of whether the firearm is transferred to the customer or if it has to be sent back to the online retailer.

Online retailers all have their own unique policies regarding returns. Kinetic Firearms has no control or influence over the online retailers policies. It is the customer's responsibility to know the policies of the retailer they chose to purchase from. It is also the customer's responsibility to contact the online retailer to attempt to arrange a return if they are willing to accept returns.

The original online retailer must provide Kinetic Firearms with a prepaid USPS Priority Mail 2-day signature confirmation return shipping label for the firearm to be returned to the address listed on the federal firearms license. Kinetic Firearms will not return a firearm without the above return label provided by the original retailer.

A $25.00 handling fee will be charged in addition to the transfer fee to return a firearm to the original retailer. The transfer fee and the handling fee are required to be paid prior to the firearm being returned.

If an individual purchases a firearm and chooses to ship it to Kinetic Firearms for a local FFL transfer and is unable to complete the transfer due to a denial following a federal background check, is ineligible to purchase the firearm due to federal law, or does not have the required valid identification to complete the federal background check, the firearm will not be transferred to a different individual designated by the original purchaser. The firearm will be held for 90 days to provide time for appealing a denial or obtaining proper valid identification. After 60 days, a USPS certified/signature confirmation letter will be sent to the address provided to Kinetic Firearms with the firearm, advising the purchaser of the time remaining to complete the transfer without additional storage fees. The cost of the USPS certified letter will be added to the transfer fee. After 90 days, a $1.00 per day storage fee will be applied to the firearm. When all fees equal the retail cost of the firearm, the firearms will be considered abandoned and forfeited to Kinetic Firearms.

The customer is solely responsible for ensuring all federal and state laws are followed prior to purchasing firearms online. Firearms will not be transferred to anyone against federal and state laws.
